Previously, the estimated delivery time was 2-4 weeks, making the wait longer than for the Model Y crossover. Currently, both the Model 3 and Model Y have identical 1-3 week delivery estimates across their RWD, AWD, and Performance models.

Production updates throughout the year include:

  • Late October: Model 3 wait time reduced from 4-6 weeks to 2-4 weeks
  • Early July: Model Y wait time updated from 1-6 weeks to 1-3 weeks

Pricing for the Model 3 in China ranges from RMB 231,900 ($32,000) for the base RWD to RMB 335,900 ($46,390) for the Performance model.

The Model Y is priced similarly, starting at RMB 249,900 ($34,500) for the RWD and reaching RMB 354,900 ($49,000) for the Performance variant.

The Model Y continues to be offered in its original configuration, with potential “Juniper” updates rumored for next year, which could potentially impact future wait times.

Both models are exclusively produced at Gigafactory Shanghai, with the Model Y currently dominating Tesla China’s sales.
