Tesla lock sounds page is for anyone who wants to change the sound their Tesla makes when it locks. You can pick a sound and download it in .wav format. The sounds come from cartoons, movies, games, music, and online trends.
Tesla added support for custom lock sounds in the 2023 holiday update. This works with most new Teslas that have the Pedestrian Warning System (PWS). This includes Model 3, Model Y, and most newer Model S and Model X with the external speaker (PWS). If your car has Boombox, you can use this feature.

Follow the guide to use a custom lock sound:
- Download a sound and save it as a .wav file under 1MB.
- Rename it LockChime.wav and put it in the root of a USB drive.
- Plug the USB drive into your car.
- On the Tesla screen, go to Toybox > Boombox > Lock Sound > Select USB.
Now your car will use this custom sound for locking.
