Tesla is preparing to roll out its highly anticipated Spring Update, likely designated as software version 2026.14, bringing a massive wave of new features to its entire vehicle lineup. From highly requested UI refinements and visual upgrades to major leaps in AI integration, this update touches nearly every aspect of the Tesla ownership experience.

Next-generation AI and autonomy

Tesla’s integration of its artificial intelligence capabilities takes a major step forward in this release. Vehicles equipped with AI4 hardware gain access to a dedicated Self-Driving App in the App Launcher. This new interface allows owners to subscribe with a single tap, learn how to activate the system, and view ongoing driving statistics. App Launcher > Self-Driving

“Hey Grok”

Voice control also receives a substantial overhaul with the native integration of Grok. Drivers can launch the AI assistant simply by saying “Hey Grok” and issue complex, location-based reminders, such as asking the car to remind them to pick up milk when nearing home. A simple “goodbye” command smoothly dismisses the assistant when the interaction is complete. Enable via Enable via Grok > Settings

Visual and audio enhancements

Immersive Sound on the new Model 3 and Model Y utilizes advanced sound extraction to place the listener within a highly detailed soundstage, working seamlessly across all streaming sources. Go to Settings > Audio > Tone > Immersive Sound to adjust.

Custom Wraps and License Plates (SX)
