Tesla Cybertruck owners have finally gained access to Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised after a 10-month wait. The update also introduces Tesla’s anticipated end-to-end highway stack to the electric pickup truck.

Reports of the Cybertruck receiving FSD emerged online this weekend. Tesla software tracker Not A Tesla App confirmed that FSD was being rolled out to the initial group of company employees and early access program participants. The update, labeled FSD V12.5.5, is part of software version 2024.32.20.

Notably, the release notes for the Cybertruck’s FSD update mention the addition of vision-based attention monitoring with sunglasses support and an end-to-end highway stack. Tesla emphasizes that this version is an early access build, urging users to exercise extra caution when using FSD on the Cybertruck.

The introduction of FSD to the Cybertruck significantly enhances its appeal to potential buyers. FSD is widely regarded as one of the most advanced driver-assist systems available, particularly excelling in navigating city streets. This feature addition helps justify the Cybertruck’s premium pricing, especially for the current Foundation Series models.

At present, Tesla only offers the Cybertruck in its Foundation Series trim, which includes a $20,000 premium over the base price. A substantial portion of this premium accounts for the FSD package, which is bundled with the Foundation Series. Recent weeks have seen Tesla release Vision-Based Park Assist and Autopark for the Cybertruck, but the addition of FSD brings the vehicle closer to being feature-complete.

The FSD update marks a significant milestone for Cybertruck owners, potentially setting a new standard for advanced driver assistance in the electric pickup truck market.
