Tesla adds “Tron: Ares” Dashboard Theme

Tesla started sending out a new update. The update gives the dashboard a look that copies the grid and bikes from “Tron: Ares.” The screens use bold lines and bright colors inspired by the movie. The regular driving data, speed, maps, and car info, now comes in this new style. This is only a change in what the dashboard looks like. Controls and safety tools are the same as before. Tesla usually uses a simple design. With this update, the screens stand out more. The colors match the latest “Tron” movie. Anyone into science fiction or fresh visuals will spot the difference each time the car starts.

To turn on the new look, tap the three dots at the bottom of the Tesla display and pick Toybox. In Toybox, find the “Tron” selection. Tap it to get the Tron grid on the dashboard. The glowing lines and sharp contrasts give a different style than any other menu. If you want to go back to the old dashboard, use the same Toybox menu to turn off Tron mode.

This theme does not touch the safety features, autopilot, or how the car drives. Warnings, navigation, and all driving controls stay unchanged. The way the car responds and the behind-the-scenes checks all keep working the usual way. This update changes how things look, not how anything works.

How the update rolls out

The Tron theme comes by over-the-air software updates. Not everyone gets it right away. Updates arrive in groups, so some will see it before others. This lets Tesla find and fix any problems before all cars receive the new look. Drivers with a Tesla that can use Toybox and gets these updates can expect the new theme. Make sure your Wi-Fi and update settings are active.

What cars can get Tron: Ares

This update changes only the visual part of the dash. No new hardware is needed. Any Tesla that already has Toybox and can receive over-the-air updates is able to use the Tron theme. Supported models include the Model S, 3, X, Y, and Cybertruck as long as they have the right software version.

Other Toybox tools still work

Functions like built-in games, light shows, and entertainment options stay untouched. None of them are replaced or disabled by the Tron theme. The option is for the dashboard style only. Anyone who likes it can leave it on. If not, it can be switched off any time in the Toybox menu.

Drivers get a new look that copies the mood from “Tron: Ares,” with clean lines and bright colors and driving, safety, and maps all operate like always. The only thing new is the appearance, and it will show up in the Toybox with regular updates for supported cars.
