Tesla moved in quickly to help the Altadena Mountain Rescue Team during the Eaton Fire mess.
They’ve handed over several Cybertrucks, these trucks are keeping the lights on at the rescue station while power’s out across LA County, where the fire’s already burned through 14,200 acres.
Powering Through the Crisis
AMRT’s pretty excited about it.
They jumped on Instagram saying:
“This will greatly help the team to power radios, computers, and lights as we work into the dark.”
Makes sense – can’t coordinate rescues if your gear’s dead.
The timing couldn’t be better. Eaton Fire’s got AMRT working overtime, and now they’ve got reliable power for all their critical stuff.
Local folks seem impressed – it’s not every day a big company jumps in like this.
The whole setup’s working like a backup generator on wheels.
AMRT’s got their radios running, computers up, and enough juice to keep working after dark.
Right now, Tesla Cybertrucks are pulling double duty as emergency power stations.
More Than Just a Cybertrucks Handout
Tesla didn’t just stop at dropping off trucks though.
They’ve lit up select areas with free Starlink Wi-Fi and planted mobile Superchargers around these areas. Pretty handy for folks who might need to bug out fast in their EVs.
A Lifeline in the Dark
With the fire still raging through LA County, having reliable power keeps rescue operations running.
Guess sometimes you find help in unexpected places, even if some say it looks like a giant metal triangle.
