Tesla has started delivering the refreshed Model Y “Launch Edition” in the U.S. The first customers received their vehicles over the weekend.
First Deliveries Reported
On Sunday, Jim Koehler shared photos and details of his delivery in Knoxville, Tennessee. He received a Stealth Grey Model Y Launch Edition.

Koehler ordered the car on January 23. His estimated delivery window was initially February 19 to March 19, but Tesla later updated it to March 1 to March 8. He picked up the vehicle on Saturday. He also owns a 2024 Model 3 Performance, which is seen in his photos next to the Model Y.

Over the weekend, a refreshed Model Y was also spotted at Palisades in Tahoe, California. It’s unclear if this was a customer or employee/ delivery vehicle.

China Already Moving to Regular Model Y
Tesla China recently stopped selling the Model Y “Launch Edition” and replaced it with a regular version. The main difference in China was that the Launch Edition had bonus warranty miles. The regular Model Y keeps the same price.
Launch Edition Features
The U.S. Tesla order configurator still lists the Model Y Launch Edition. It comes with special badges on the liftgate, puddle light, center console, and doorsill.
It also includes Supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD), vegan suede trim, and premium floor mats.
Production Increasing at Giga Texas
Tesla is ramping up production of the refreshed Model Y at its Gigafactory in Austin. Recent drone footage shows large numbers of these vehicles ready for delivery.
