Tesla is expanding Cybercab testing near its Giga Texas complex. Recent aerial footage by Joe Tegtmeyer shows multiple autonomous vehicles in action.
More @Tesla Cybercab testing at Giga Texas today! Routes are all over the east side of the highway, even on the south end of the Cyberpond and by the big Fork display! The ever present black Model 3 validation chase cars trailing right behind! pic.twitter.com/M2b30xB9cD

The self-driving robotaxis are conducting test routes across multiple areas, including the east side of the highway, the “Cyberpond” area, and near Giga Texas’ prominent “Fork” display.
During each test, a Model 3 follows the Cybercab. Observers have seen Cybercabs drive smoothly and react well to people and other cars, much like human drivers.

Tesla is actively promoting the Cybercab through an extensive tour strategy, The robotaxi is currently:
- Touring multiple European cities
- On display at select Tesla stores across the United States
- Cybercab Featured at Tesla’s Gigafactory New York
- Featured at the prestigious Petersen Automotive Museum
- Presented at Art Basel Miami
The Cybercab represents Tesla’s first purpose-built full self-driving vehicle, featuring innovative design characteristics:
- No manual controls like steering wheel or pedals
- Two-seat configuration
- Expansive rear cargo space accommodating:
- Two carry-on luggage items
- Two check-in luggage pieces
- Potentially a bicycle or foldable wheelchair
Tesla has achieved remarkable engineering efficiency with the Cybercab, constructing a vehicle with approximately half the parts of a Tesla Model 3.
This design represents a significant advancement in automotive manufacturing simplicity and complexity reduction.
