Tesla expands its latest Full Self-Driving system, version 14.1.4 (2025.32.8.16) to more owners. The update started rolling out on October 26, 2025. Now, drivers get more choices and a smarter system that adapts better to real-world situations.
Arrival options
FSD v14.1.4 lets drivers pick where they want their car to park. The options are parking lot, street, driveway, parking garage, or curbside.

You can select from 5 parking choices or curbside for Robotaxi-style drop offs. Your preferences for arrival options and preferred parking positions are remembered for each destination.

The car remembers these choices for each location. If you return to a familiar place, your car may pick your preferred option automatically. Still, you can change it manually.
Emergency handling and detours improve
This update improves the way Tesla cars react to emergency vehicles. When the system detects police, fire trucks, or ambulances, it can pull over or yield.

The software now uses visual input and mapping to deal with real-time changes like roadblocks or sudden detours. This works well in unpredictable situations and helps drivers feel safer.
Parking and backing up

With new parking intelligence, the car can now decide if backing in or parking head-first is better for the space. Owners report that FSD can reverse into tough spots, including Supercharger stalls, by itself. The car users stay in control but get more help, which reduces stress with tricky parking jobs.
Speed profiles

FSD v14.1.4 updates the way cars handle speed. Before this, drivers had to manage a speed offset. Now there are five speed profiles: Sloth, Chill, Standard, Hurry, and Mad Max. Sloth keeps things slow and sticks close to the limit; Mad Max ramps up lane changes and favors quicker speeds. Drivers change profiles with the right scroll wheel. It’s easier and helps cars better match different driving styles.
Windshield camera cleaning and alerts

The system has a new alert for residue forming on the inside windshield. If the front camera gets blocked, FSD lets drivers know so they can clean it. Tesla also made camera cleaning faster, which helps keep the visuals clear at higher speeds. This is useful for keeping the system reliable in all types of weather.
Easier interface and softer braking

Starting Full Self-Driving now only takes a tap, no brake needed (unless you want that setting back on). Drivers can change speed profiles and arrival options right on the autopilot display. Brake issues like sudden stops have dropped. Lane changes are now smoother. The car moves out of the left lane when it’s polite or required, which keeps driving efficient.
Real-life tests in reverse

The latest system learns from real-life driving. For example, a recent test showed that the car can put itself in reverse at a stop light to let a large truck pass, without human help.
Reliability and safety
Tesla improved how well FSD recovers from faults. If something goes wrong, it can fix itself and keep safe. Still, drivers must pay attention at all times. The system is smarter and more reliable but not truly independent yet.
Hardware requirements and rollout
Right now, the update is for Tesla cars with the latest hardware (HW4). Older models will get some improvements in future updates, but only newer models have full support for v14.1.4.
Tesla says upcoming updates will focus on smoother driving, better sentience, finding better parking spots, and improving parking accuracy.
FSD v14.1.4 gives Tesla drivers more choice in parking, smarter emergency handling, and an easier way to pick driving styles.
