Tesla firmware 2025.44 adds dashcam grid to Intel cars

Tesla is rolling out its 2025.44 update. This is the baseline for the holiday release. Less than 1% of vehicles have it right now. More cars will get it in December.

Dashcam gets a grid and new options

Owners with Intel-based media units can now use a grid view in the Dashcam Viewer.

Until now, only AMD Ryzen cars had this feature. You can see four camera feeds on one screen. This makes it quicker to look through recordings. You don’t need to tap back and forth anymore.

Ryzen vehicles had this since April. Intel cars were missing out. Now, Model S and Model X from 2018 to 2021, and Model 3/Y made between late 2017 and 2022, are included. Many users wanted this update. Finally, it is here.

Holiday update will have more

Tesla uses the 2025.44 build to test for bugs. Later in December, the main holiday update (2025.44.25) rolls out. That update will have many new features. Some expected changes include new entertainment options and design tweaks. Rumors say Apple CarPlay may arrive soon.

Another change is the new “Exclude Home” button for Cabin Overheat Protection. Owners parked at home can turn off this feature and save battery. It stays on elsewhere, just not at home. This update comes from owner feedback. Tesla listened and made the control easy. You pick the saved location, and the car remembers to switch off cooling at home.

Tesla sends small batch releases before sending it to everyone. The wide rollout happens after bugs are fixed. Right now, only a small group of drivers have received it. Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X owners in North America and Europe are part of this first wave.

Older Teslas keep trailing

Cars with the AMD Ryzen unit still get updates first. They have faster chips, so new features run smoother. New things like using B-pillar cameras in Sentry Mode only work in the latest vehicles. Tesla has not offered an upgrade for Intel-based units. Owners may see more features go to newer cars over time.

More changes will arrive in December as the holiday update goes public. For now, Intel owners benefit from the day-to-day Dashcam update and better control over cabin cooling.
