Now imagine if you could do so for free
This promotion aligns with Tesla’s established pattern of implementing aggressive end-of-year sales strategies.
The company has historically used various incentives, including price reductions and charging perks, to boost their delivery numbers as each year draws to a close.
While the European market sees this charging incentive, Tesla’s U.S. operations have yet to announce any significant year-end promotions.
However, given it’s only early November, the company may be strategically timing its U.S. incentives for closer to December.
For context, Tesla’s 2023 year-end strategy included substantial price cuts in the U.S. market. Starting with a $3,750 reduction for both Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, the company later doubled the discount to $7,500 on December 22.
This move sparked discussions among analysts, who viewed such significant late-year discounts as potentially indicating demand concerns.
The timing of these promotions has created an interesting dynamic in the market. Some potential buyers might now deliberately delay their purchases, anticipating similar end-of-year discounts in 2024.
Given Tesla’s history of introducing last-minute deals, industry observers expect comparable promotional activities in the U.S. market in the coming weeks.
