Tesla has begun rolling out its annual holiday software update, version 2024.45.25.5, featuring major enhancements to Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities, along with entertainment and functional improvements.
The update’s rollout began Saturday evening, with priority access given to FSD Supervised users before broader distribution throughout the week.
Tesla’s AI4 computer users will receive FSD Supervised version 13.2.2, while AI3 (HW3) users can expect what Tesla’s Vice President of AI, Ashok Elluswamy, described as a “much-updated” FSD Supervised v12.6 before year-end.

The holiday update maintains Tesla’s tradition of combining practical improvements with festive features.
Cybertruck owners will particularly benefit from the new Santa Mode, which transforms the in-vehicle avatar into Santa’s sleigh, complete with holiday-themed elements including reindeer and elves.
Additionally, Tesla has introduced custom Cybertruck avatar wraps, a feature planned for future implementation across Tesla’s entire vehicle lineup.
Functional improvements in this update are substantial.
Tesla has launched an Apple Watch application and enhanced navigation features, including the ability to set preferred battery charge levels for arrival destinations.
Users can now search along navigation routes with estimated detour times and access precipitation maps with destination weather forecasts.
This Software Update also enables rear-screen arcade gaming capabilities during vehicle operation.
The comprehensive update package includes several additional features:
- TuneIn radio and SiriusXM streaming integration
- Rear cross-traffic alerts
- Mobile phone access to dashcam and Sentry Mode clips
- Lightshow scheduling capabilities, and the playful fart on contact setting.
