Tesla brings new visual changes to older vehicles

Tesla has released a new software update, 2025.32.2, for older vehicles with Intel hardware. Now, when drivers put these cars into reverse, the screen keeps showing the full FSD visualization instead of switching to basic graphics. This helps drivers see more, like curbs and other vehicles, and makes backing up less distracting.

Intel cars only had these visualizations when driving forward. AMD-equipped Teslas have had extended features, including real-time 3D graphics in reverse, for some time. Tesla is working on using Unreal Engine for driver visuals but will only be able to give all features to cars with stronger hardware.

Tesla did not list this change in the official release notes. Instead, owners began to notice it after the update rolled out. This shows Tesla is still supporting older vehicles, not just the newest ones.

The upgrade is part of several recent updates. Tesla has added things like Low Power Mode and improved service features for technicians. New security alerts ask drivers to let FSD help out if drowsiness or lane drift appears. These suggestions show up in 2025.32.3 and push drivers to use FSD when they get tired or distracted, even though FSD is still supervised by humans. Musk has said that FSD version 14 will be better and may let cars act almost like they’re aware of their surroundings.

Even though not every feature will come to older cars, this update keeps older Teslas useful even for vehicles with less powerful processors.
