Tesla demonstrated the capabilities of its Optimus robot in a luxurious Los Angeles residence as part of the “We, Robot” event in early October.

The demonstration showcased the robot performing everyday household tasks.

The chosen location for this showcase was a stunning $6.85 million property situated in Mandeville Canyon, Los Angeles.

The video featured Optimus performing various tasks, from routine household chores to serving drinks at social gatherings and interacting with children during playtime.

Jason Peteler of Revel Real Estate shared insights about Tesla’s location choice with Mansion Global:

“Tesla chose our property because they liked the aesthetics and it worked well with what they were looking to showcase. They rented it out for two days to do the shoot.”

The prestigious property, located at 2167 Mandeville Canyon Rd., caught significant attention. Peteler later shared on his social media.

During the October event, Elon Musk revealed ambitious plans for Optimus’s future.

“If you extrapolate this, it will be something spectacular. Something you can own. At scale, this should cost somewhere around $20,000 to $30,000,” Musk stated.

He emphasized, “I think this will be the biggest product ever of any kind.”

Later in October, Musk made a bold prediction, suggesting that humanoid robots could eventually outnumber humans on Earth.

This vision, if realized, could position Tesla and other early market entrants in robotics for significant financial success, particularly if these robots prove as capable as demonstrated.

The demonstration represents a significant step forward in Tesla’s robotics program, offering a tangible preview of how the Optimus Robot might integrate into daily home life.
