Tesla Model Y Performance set for October delivery after production milestone

Tesla started building the Model Y Performance at its Berlin factory for Europe and the Middle East.

This SUV now goes from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds. The dual-motor setup gives it 460 horsepower. The motors deliver 16% more peak torque, 32% more peak power, and 22% more continuous power than before. Top speed is 155 mph.

Battery and range

Tesla put new high-density battery cells inside. The car travels up to 580 km (360 miles) under WLTP standards. The battery can take on 243 km (151 miles) in 15 minutes with fast charging.

Exterior design changes

The Model Y Performance got new bumpers and a carbon fiber spoiler. It has 21-inch Arachnid 2.0 wheels and sits lower than the regular models. Red brake calipers and performance badges set it apart. The new parts cut drag and help the car stay stable at high speed.

Interior features

The sport front seats have power recline, heating, ventilation, and powered thigh support. Rear seats are perforated, heated, and offer power recline. The center touchscreen is now 16 inches with QHD resolution. The cabin gets carbon fiber decor, more ambient lighting, and better sound dampening.

Suspension and handling

Tesla fit the car with adaptive suspension that uses new springs, stabilizer bars, and bushings. The rear body is stiffer. There are selectable drive modes for daily use or sporty driving.

The Berlin factory recently hit 100,000 Model Ys made since January 2025. First deliveries start October 2025 in Europe and the Middle East. Ordering is open using Tesla’s configurator.

The price in Germany starts at €61,990 (about $73,000). UK buyers pay £61,990. This makes it about €9,000 more than the Long Range AWD model.

Tesla faces competition from other brands and new electric models, like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and Kia EV6 GT. Supercharger access and service help Tesla stay strong in the EV market. Model Y Performance mixes family use with sports car speed and efficiency.
