Tesla Japan has launched a promotion for Model Y buyers for 2025, announcing it on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.
The promotion provides five years of complimentary Supercharging for new inventory Model Y purchases.
Eligibility Requirements
The offer comes with specific terms and conditions:
- Orders must be placed after January 1, 2025
- Vehicle delivery must be completed by March 31, 2025
- Only applies to new inventory Model Y vehicles
- Existing orders placed before December 31, 2024 are not eligible, even if customers place a new order in 2025
Terms and Conditions
The free Supercharging benefit:
- Is linked to the customer’s Tesla account
- Cannot be transferred to other customers or vehicles
- Excludes used vehicles
- Is not available for commercial use (taxis, ride-sharing, delivery services)
- Does not cover idle fees for excess charging time or during peak periods
- May be modified or terminated without prior notice
Tesla’s Presence in Japan
While Tesla continues to work on increasing its market penetration in Japan, the company has achieved several notable milestones:
Tesla recently celebrated the installation of its 600th Supercharger in Japan, which notably included the company’s 60,000th global Supercharger.
The company has also been actively engaging with the Japanese market through various initiatives, including:
- Showcasing the Optimus humanoid robot at select Japanese locations in late November
- Bringing the Tesla Cybertruck to Japan for demonstration in September
- Expanding its charging infrastructure throughout the country
This new promotion appears to be part of Tesla’s broader strategy to strengthen its position in the Japanese automotive market.
