Tesla has expanded its color palette for UK customers, adding the highly anticipated Quicksilver paint option to the Model 3 lineup. This premium finish is now available for all variants of the best-selling all-electric sedan in the United Kingdom.
The announcement came via Tesla UK’s official X account, bringing the UK market in line with other European countries offering this distinctive color choice.
Quicksilver, along with Midnight Cherry Red, was developed in Giga Berlin’s advanced paint shop. Tesla describes it as a highly pigmented metallic paint that changes appearance depending on viewing angle and light conditions.
In a promotional email, Tesla highlighted the paint’s unique qualities: “With metallic highlights and dark undertones, Quicksilver is a dynamic, multi-coat paint that offers a liquid metal effect that accentuates the curves of Model 3.”
On Tesla UK’s order page, Quicksilver is priced as a top-tier option at £2,000, matching the cost of the Ultra Red finish. This positions it above other available colors like Deep Blue Metallic, Solid Black, and Stealth Grey, which add £1,300 to the vehicle’s base price.
The introduction of Quicksilver paint for the Model 3 in the UK market offers customers a striking new option that showcases Tesla’s commitment to innovative design, albeit at a premium price point. This addition provides UK buyers with more choices to personalize their vehicles, reflecting the growing demand for unique and eye-catching finishes in the electric vehicle market.
The new color option seems particularly well-suited to the Model 3 Performance, as its extra aggressive front and rear styling are expected to be enhanced by Quicksilver’s depth and dimension.
