In a recent video posted on the social media platform X, Tesla showcased one of the most underrated aspects of the reengineered Model 3 – its whisper-quiet cabin.

When Tesla reengineered the Model 3 for its “Highland” update, the company implemented a number of subtle changes to the vehicle, including the use of double-paned glass on all the windows.

This feature helps make the reengineered Model 3’s cabin significantly quieter than the previous generation.

Tesla’s new video highlighted this improvement by featuring a Model 3 Performance being driven in rainy conditions.

While the sound of the rain was clearly audible outside the vehicle, the cabin remained remarkably quiet, showcasing the effectiveness of the double-paned glass.

“Ultra silent. New Model 3 brings you significantly improved ambient noise isolation,” Tesla wrote in its social media post.

The quiet cabin of the reengineered Model 3 has been praised by reviewers as one of the vehicle’s most notable improvements.

Previously, the Model 3 was not known for its quiet interior, which is a common challenge for battery-electric vehicles.

In combustion-powered cars, engine noise tends to mask road noise, but electric vehicles do not have this advantage.

Tesla’s ability to create a reasonably-priced all-electric vehicle with a whisper-quiet cabin is a testament to the company’s engineering prowess.

The use of double-paned glass on the Model 3’s windows is a subtle yet effective solution to the problem of cabin noise in electric vehicles.

This feature, along with other enhancements made in the reengineering process, has helped the Model 3 become an even more refined and enjoyable driving experience.
