Tesla has officially launched the Cybertruck in Canada, marking its third market entry after the United States and Mexico. The announcement came today, meeting the late October timeline previously mentioned by Vehicle Program Manager Siddhant Awasthi.
The all-electric pickup first began deliveries in the US last November, followed by its launch in Mexico last month. Now, Canadian customers can finally place their orders for the futuristic vehicle.
The image shared by Tesla reveals a Monroney sticker with a sale price of $168,740 CAD (approximately $122,282 USD). This particular model is the Cyberbeast Foundation Series, the first trim level available in any market. It also includes Full Self-Driving Capability and a Light Bar.
While the Cybertruck is now available in three North American countries, its future in other global markets remains uncertain. CEO Elon Musk has previously hinted at the possibility of an “international version” more suitable for European and Asian markets. However, no official plans have been announced.
The vehicle’s potential introduction to Europe has faced some pushback. Organizations like the European Transport Safety Council and the European Cyclists’ Foundation have expressed concerns about the Cybertruck’s design, citing its sharp edges and substantial weight as potential hazards for pedestrians.
Despite these challenges, some enthusiasts in European countries have taken matters into their own hands, importing units across the Atlantic. As for an official international release or a revised design for global markets, Tesla has yet to confirm any plans, though Musk has shown interest in the idea.
