Tesla’s Full Self-Driving V14 update for the Cybertruck may arrive this weekend. Ashok Elluswamy from Tesla’s AI team shared that the company missed its earlier goal to release FSD V14 before the end of October. Still, Tesla is now working to let Cybertruck owners use FSD V14 soon.

Cybertruck owners have waited a long time for this update. Many owners reached out on social media, wanting answers. The official Cybertruck X account joined the conversation, asking “I only see trick. Where is my treat.” Elluswamy replied, “Sorry, pushing for early access Cyber release over the weekend.” So, if things work out, some owners could get the new features within days. Right now, many are still unsure whether Tesla will release V14.1 first or jump straight to V14.2 for Cybertruck.

Why Cybertruck gets updates later

The rollout for the Cybertruck often takes more time than other Tesla cars. The truck’s size and unique steering require special adjustments for FSD. Elon Musk explained that the all-wheel steering on Cybertruck makes it harder for FSD software to handle.

The move toward a feature-complete version is set for this release, including reverse and parking, which past Cybertruck FSD updates were missing.

FSD V14 brings new changes

The new update includes options like Mad Max mode, which testers say feels smoother and smarter. Drivers now have five driving profiles to pick from and better parking features, such as choosing lot, curbside, or garage. There is also a Sloth mode for cautious driving. Recent versions show big improvements in how Tesla vehicles make decisions and handle everyday situations.

Tesla’s goal is to make FSD available on every model. The Cybertruck getting V14 is a step toward that. Earlier updates for the Cybertruck missed features like Smart Summon and starting FSD from park. This time, the update should close that gap.

The wait should end soon if all goes well this weekend. This rollout is expected to include all major features, giving the Cybertruck the same FSD options that Model 3, Y, S, and X drivers use. As of now, V14.2 is set for the widest release, but Cybertruck may get V14.1 for early access.
