Tesla is officially rolling out its 2025 Holiday Update shortly with a wide range of new features focused on navigation, entertainment, safety, and personalization. Here’s what’s coming.
Grok with Navigation Commands (Beta)

Grok can now add and edit navigation destinations when its personality is set to Assistant, so drivers can manage routes with voice commands instead of using touch controls. This turns Grok into a practical trip guide, and it helps when planning multi-stop drives or making quick changes on the road.

Tesla Photobooth

Tesla Photobooth lets occupants take selfies from inside the car using the interior camera, then add filters, stickers, and emojis. These images can be shared directly from the Tesla app, and the feature is available at Toybox > Photobooth.
Dog Mode Live Activity

Dog Mode now supports a Live Activity on iPhone, so users see periodic snapshots of the cabin along with live temperature, battery, and climate updates on the lock screen.
Dashcam Viewer Update

Dashcam clips now include extra information such as vehicle speed, steering wheel angle, and self-driving state overlaid in the viewer. This added context can help when reviewing incidents, sharing clips, or understanding how the car responded at a given moment.
Santa Mode

Santa Mode gains new visual details, including festive snowmen, trees, a themed lock chime, and snow effects that create a 3D holiday scene in the visualization. Drivers can activate it from Toybox > Santa to give the interface a seasonal look.
Light Show Update
The update adds a new light show called “Jingle Rush,” which owners can start instantly or schedule up to ten minutes in advance for one car or a synced group. They can control interior lighting, add display color effects, and build longer custom shows for more complex sequences.
Custom Wraps and License Plates

In Toybox > Paint Shop, owners can now personalize the car avatar with window tints, custom wraps, and license plates. They may choose from preloaded designs or create and upload their own using a USB flash drive so the digital car matches the real one more closely.
Navigation Improvements

Drivers can reorder navigation favorites and set Home or Work by dropping a pin anywhere on the map, instead of being at the physical address. The system also suggests destinations based on recent trips and habits while the vehicle is parked, which speeds up starting common routes.
Supercharger Site Map

Some Supercharger locations now have a 3D “View Site Map” option that appears in the navigation screen. When drivers arrive at a pilot site, they see the layout and live stall status labeled as Available, Occupied, or Down, which helps them select a charger more quickly.

Automatic HOV Lanes Routing
Navigation now supports Automatic HOV Lanes Routing, which picks carpool lanes when the vehicle is eligible, based on time, location, passenger count, and local rules. Drivers can turn it on under Controls > Navigation > Use HOV Lanes so the route accounts for HOV access without manual checks.
Phone Left Behind Chime
The Phone Left Behind Chime sounds a few seconds after the doors close if a phone key is inside the cabin or a phone is left on the wireless charger with no occupants detected. This relies on ultra-wideband (UWB) support for phone key detection on compatible devices and newer Tesla models.
Charge Limit per Location
Drivers can now save a specific charge limit for the current location while parked, and the car will apply that limit automatically on future charging sessions at that address. This helps owners keep different targets for home, work, and other frequent charging spots.
ISS Docking Simulator

The SpaceX ISS Docking Simulator appears under Arcade > SpaceX ISS Docking Simulator and lets players guide a spacecraft to dock with the International Space Station. The controls are based on interfaces used by NASA astronauts, so the experience mirrors real docking procedures in a simplified way.
Other improvements
- Drivers can enable or disable wireless phone charging pads from the menu, under Controls > Charging on S3XY vehicles or Controls > Outlets & Mods on Cybertruck.
- Spotify now lets users add tracks to the queue straight from search and scroll through large playlists, albums, podcasts, audiobooks, and library content without paging.
- Rave Cave gains rainbow Light Sync, so ambient accent lights shift colors with the beat of the music. App Launcher > Toybox > Light Sync
- Lock Sound adds the Light Cycle effect from Tron Mode in Toybox > Boombox > Lock Sound, giving owners another distinct lock audio option.
Feature availability still depends on vehicle hardware and regional rules, so some functions may appear only on certain models or in select markets.
