Tesla now lets owners gift a month of its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) subscription in the United States. The new option arrives through the Shop section in the Tesla app and comes as a digital “One Month FSD (Supervised) Gift Card” that can be stored and used inside Tesla Wallet.

What the new FSD gift card offers

The gift card covers one month of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) access and is valued at 112 dollars. Tesla states that this amount is intended to match the current 99‑dollar monthly FSD subscription plus up to 13% sales tax, so most buyers should get a full month of use without extra cost.

The product sits in the Tesla app’s Shop section and on Tesla’s online store and can be purchased only and redeemed only inside the United States. All sales are final, and the card cannot be refunded or converted back into cash.

How owners and recipients can use it

Tesla links the new FSD gift card directly to Tesla Wallet, which already handles other store credit and gift card balances. After purchase, the sender can keep it in their Wallet or send it to another Tesla account, so a friend or family member can apply it to their own car. Once the recipient adds the card to their Wallet, they can pick when to apply it, as long as they meet the basic FSD subscription rules.

To redeem the month of FSD (Supervised), the recipient must own a compatible Tesla vehicle, have an account in good standing, and be eligible for the FSD subscription program. If the car already has a paid FSD subscription, the gift card balance will simply cover the next monthly charge, turning it into a free month for that cycle.

Other ways the card can be spent

Tesla adds flexibility by letting the balance work beyond FSD access. If a recipient cannot or does not want to activate FSD (Supervised), the gift card can be used toward other Tesla products and services that accept gift card payments. That includes many items in the Tesla Shop, such as apparel and vehicle accessories, and can also include certain service or charging payments where gift cards are allowed.

Once a customer applies the card to start a month of FSD, the choice is locked in for that period. The subscription month cannot be paused, transferred to a different account, or converted to another service after activation, so customers need to pick the timing carefully.

The launch of the gift card comes as Tesla is working to grow the user base for Full Self-Driving (Supervised) in North America. The company has recently cut the U.S. subscription price to 99 dollars per month and has been running a large free‑trial campaign that placed FSD on around 1.5 million vehicles with Hardware 4. As that trial period winds down in early January 2026, Tesla now adds a way for existing owners to buy a month of FSD access for others through a simple digital gift.

Also, this gifting feature lands during a period when Tesla has started to share more about FSD adoption and revenue trends. Company disclosures that only a modest share of the overall fleet currently pays for FSD, even though the take rate is higher among premium Model S and Model X buyers.
