Tesla has spread its MultiPass service into more European countries. This update is making public EV charging easier for Tesla drivers who use more than just Tesla’s own stations.

The company first tried out MultiPass in the Netherlands in September 2025. Now, drivers in Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Belgium can use it too. Tesla worked with Fastned and other major charging networks to make this happen. More countries will likely join soon.

How MultiPass changes charging

Before, Tesla owners needed different apps or cards for each charging network. MultiPass lets them start and pay for sessions at supported chargers straight from the Tesla app or with their Tesla key card. There’s no need to register with every provider. Once active, all charging, both Supercharger and third-party appears in one place in the app. Session details like price, time, and how much energy you got stay easy to find.

Setup is pretty simple. Tesla sends an invite through the Tesla app. Users follow a few prompts to activate MultiPass, and then the Tesla key card works at any partner charging station. Charging can also be started in the app itself.

Tesla has worked with large networks in Europe, such as Fastned, Electrify America, and the Rivian Adventure Network. These deals help drivers find more places to charge with one account. This is especially needed in Europe, where EV use is high. Europe now sells more electric vehicles than the United States. In the first half of 2025, nearly one in six cars sold there was all electric.

Tesla is not slowing down with its own chargers either. Europe now has over 11,000 Tesla Supercharger stalls. This year, 200 more stations and 1,250 stalls came online, a 16% jump from last year. Nearly half of all these stalls use the faster V4 technology, which offers up to 500 kW charging.

MultiPass covers six major EV markets now. Tesla said more countries could be added soon. Many believe this type of unified charging makes day-to-day use less stressful for EV drivers, especially as electric cars keep getting more popular in Europe.

As Tesla fixes issues and adds more partners, MultiPass may become a standard tool for charging any Tesla in Europe, anywhere you go.
