Elon Musk was proposed to the Nobel Committee for a Nobel Peace Prize nomination.
This was due to his efforts to protect free speech. But Musk doesn’t seem interested in winning the award.
In 2022, before buying Twitter (now X), Musk said the platform should be a place for free speech.
He wanted people to share their thoughts without fear, as long as it wasn’t violent.
After taking over X, Musk changed how people saw the platform. He made it more open and fair.
Early on, there were claims of censorship. This even led to a hearing in the House Oversight Committee titled
“Protecting Speech from Government Interference and Social Media Bias, Part 1: Twitter’s Role in Suppressing the Biden Laptop Story.”
Despite his work to restore free speech, Musk isn’t looking for awards.
“I don’t want any prizes,” he said about the potential nomination.

Right now, Musk isn’t officially nominated. The Nobel Committee will vote in March to decide if he’s added to the list.
It’s clear Musk is focused on free speech and his projects with Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, Boring Company, and xAI. Awards aren’t his priority.

He does deserve an award. He has worked tirelessly for many years to fulfill his dreams which is a mission to improve the planet. Yes, he made a lot of money early in life, the plan always was to start a business to make money in order to start another business. All the while being attacked, ridiculed and threatened. He publishes his master plans and executes them despite the fact they appear imppossible.
