New Tesla program lets businesses host superchargers

Tesla released its Supercharger for Business program in September 2025 in the United States. This gives business owners a simple way to buy Tesla Supercharging hardware and put it at their property. Tesla owns and runs the network, but now companies can buy the hardware, keep it on their land, and let Tesla handle the operations, maintenance, and driver support.

How it works

Companies purchase at least four V3 or V4 Supercharger posts. These fast chargers go up to 325 kW, with Tesla planning to push to 500 kW in the future. Owners install chargers at their site. Tesla keeps everything running and guarantees 97% uptime. The hardware works with both Tesla cars and other EVs because it uses NACS and CCS standards. Chargers are linked directly into Tesla’s car navigation, so drivers find these new business sites easily.

Business owners can control pricing and monitor how much the chargers get used. Tesla gives a management portal for tracking realtime use, adjusting rates, and seeing earnings and site activity. Stations can show the business’s own logo.

Besides, businesses get more visitors who stop to charge. Drivers usually spend 20-40 minutes charging, which means people are likely to shop, eat, or work while at the business. Employees get a quick way to charge their car at work, faster than most normal office chargers.

For customers, charging is fast and easy. For businesses, there is a straight way to offer charging and boost visibility. Tesla runs support and keeps things in working order.

Technology and compatibility

The Superchargers use live monitoring, over-the-air updates, and the same features as Tesla-owned sites. V4 units can support up to 1000 volts and are set up for future upgrades. Longer cables fit more kinds of cars. Credit card readers are planned for non-Tesla users.

Installation process

  • Apply online to Tesla or through their partners.
  • Get the site approved for power and space.
  • Discuss install location and planning.
  • Get hardware installed, connect power and permits.
  • The station is live. It goes on Tesla maps; drivers start coming.

Cost

Hardware is about $43,000 per stall. Installation ranges from $100,000 to $175,000 depending on location and local costs. Owners set charging rates, and Tesla handles payment.

The Supercharger for Business program is now available in all markets where Tesla runs its own network. Anyone interested can contact Tesla for details and start the process.

This setup makes charging fast, reliable, and more common at businesses. It’s a direct solution for anyone wanting to attract EV drivers or support employees with EVs. Tesla’s large network and solid management mean business owners don’t have to worry about keeping the chargers up and running.
