Tesla’s ambitious project in West Hollywood is taking shape as it approaches the one-year mark of construction. Recent photos reveal the installation of the first V4 Supercharger stalls, marking a significant milestone in the development.
On Saturday, AL Set shared images on X (formerly Twitter) showcasing the new V4 Supercharger posts. These stalls, still wrapped in protective cardboard, are being mounted on concrete curbs.
The diner building itself is also progressing well, promising a unique venue where electric vehicle owners can soon charge, dine, and enjoy entertainment.
Project Timeline
- Late September 2023: Initial construction began at 7001 Santa Monica Blvd.
- Early November 2023: Restaurant building structures started to rise
- March 2024: First movie screen frame constructed
- Late July 2024: Second movie screen frame erected after power line relocation
The concept for this innovative space originated from Elon Musk’s 2018 social media musings. He envisioned an “old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant” combined with Tesla’s charging infrastructure. One proposed feature is a pop-up menu in Tesla vehicles that appears as soon as charging begins, streamlining the food ordering process.
Key Features of the Site
