The 2024 IAA Transportation trade show in Hannover, Germany, is set to showcase the Tesla Semi from September 17 to 22. Despite the event not officially starting yet, images of Tesla’s booth featuring the all-electric Class 8 truck have already surfaced online.
Tesla’s presence at the show includes a prominent display of the Semi alongside a Megacharger. Interestingly, the company transported two Semi units to Germany, with sightings reported on the Autobahn and at the Giga Berlin complex in late August. While one Semi is stationed at the booth, speculation suggests the second might be used for test rides during the event.
The Tesla exhibit, though smaller compared to some automotive giants like Volkswagen, is expected to draw significant attention. A key highlight will be two presentations by Dan Priestley, Senior Manager of the Tesla Semi program:
- A C-level keynote on September 17
- A joint talk with PepsiCo on September 18
The September 18 presentation, titled “Scaling Semi Electrification: A Case Study with PepsiCo,” promises to be particularly insightful. Priestley will be joined by Dejan Antunović, PepsiCo’s Electrification Program Manager, potentially offering real-world data and experiences from PepsiCo’s Tesla Semi fleet.
As the 2024 IAA Transportation show approaches, the Tesla Semi’s presence marks a significant step in showcasing electric solutions for the transportation industry.
