Tesla Launches New 125MW Megapack Installation in Texas to Boost Grid Stability

Tesla has expanded its energy storage footprint in Texas with the activation of a new 125MW/250MWh Megapack installation in the northern part of the state. The project, managed by Tesla’s Autobidder system, will work in conjunction with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) to enhance grid stability and manage increasing power demands.

This installation is part of Tesla’s broader energy storage expansion in Texas. The company recently secured contracts for three additional Megapack projects in partnership with Intersect Power, totaling 15.3 GWh of storage capacity. Of this, 966MWh will be located in Texas, with commissioning expected within a year of announcement.
