Tesla China Extends Zero-Interest Loans

Posted on

Tesla’s Chinese division has announced another extension of its zero-interest financing program, offering five-year loans for select Model 3 and Model Y variants.

The program, which runs until November 30, 2024, is available for both the Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and Long Range Dual Motor All Wheel Drive (AWD) models, though it excludes Performance variants.

The promotion is prominently featured on Tesla’s Chinese ordering platforms for both vehicle models.

The current pricing structure for Tesla’s vehicles in China is as follows:

Tesla Model 3:

  • RWD: RMB 231,900 ($32,550)
  • Long Range AWD: RMB 271,900 ($38,160)
  • Performance: RMB 335,900 ($47,150)

Tesla Model Y:

  • RWD: RMB 249,900 ($35,000)
  • Long Range AWD: RMB 290,900 ($40,830)
  • Performance: RMB 354,900 ($49,800)

All prices listed are before optional features.

Customers interested in purchasing these vehicles can expect varying delivery timeframes. The Model 3, regardless of variant, has an estimated delivery window of 4-6 weeks. Model Y buyers can expect shorter wait times, with all versions currently showing delivery estimates of 1-3 weeks.

The zero-interest financing program, which initially launched in April, has seen consistent monthly extensions. Given this pattern, industry observers anticipate the program may be extended through the end of the year. All eligible vehicles are manufactured at Tesla’s Gigafactory Shanghai facility.
