Tesla begins rolling out FSD (Supervised) v14.2.2.3 with 2025.45.8

Tesla is pushing out Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14.2.2.3 as part of software update 2025.45.8, giving owners another step in the company’s Version 14 program. The package keeps the same feature set introduced with the wider v14.2 releases, yet it continues Tesla’s pattern of frequent, incremental updates to its driving system.

This rollout is landing first on cars already running recent 2025.45 builds, mainly in North America. Tesla has not announced any region-specific features in this build.

Vision system and neural network changes

The heart of v14.2.2.3 remains an upgraded neural network vision encoder that uses higher resolution information from the cameras. That change is aimed at tougher situations such as spotting emergency vehicles earlier, distinguishing road obstacles more clearly and reading human gestures on or near the road.

This work builds on Tesla’s broader shift to end-to-end neural networks, where the system learns directly from driving data instead of relying mainly on hand-written rules.

Parking, Arrival Options and Speed Profiles

The update carries over expanded Arrival Options, where drivers can choose a preferred parking style such as Parking Lot, Street, Driveway, Parking Garage or Curbside for a given destination. Once set, the car uses those preferences when planning the final part of the trip.

FSD v14.2.2.3 also continues the refreshed Speed Profile system, including conservative and more assertive modes that more clearly influence acceleration, following distance and lane‑change decisions. Reviewers who have tried earlier v14.2 builds say the gap between these profiles feels more pronounced now.

A key structural change from the broader v14.2 branch is the way navigation and routing are tied into the vision-based network instead of sitting apart from it. By folding route choice into the same system that interprets camera data, the car can react faster to blocked lanes, construction and sudden detours that may not appear in maps.

Tesla has also kept work on emergency vehicle interactions in this build, including behavior to pull over or yield when the car detects police cars, fire trucks or ambulances. On top of that, the update improves how the system deals with static and moving gates, road debris such as tires or branches, and more delicate cases like unprotected turns, vehicle cut‑ins and school bus stops.

Reliability, camera health and wider context

Tesla lists general reliability gains in v14.2.2.3, saying FSD is better at recovering from partial faults without abrupt disengagements, which has been a recurring complaint from some owners. The company also adds an alert for residue on the interior windshield that could interfere with the front camera. On select newer models, hardware for narrow‑field camera washing continues to support this focus on keeping the optical system clear.

This release lands as FSD (Supervised) gathers more public attention and scrutiny. Company executives have said more “reasoning”‑style features will enter production builds through early 2026, including smarter route changes and richer parking logic, as Tesla works toward its long‑stated target of unsupervised operation once it believes the data support that step.
