Tesla continues its efforts to highlight the Cybercab robotaxi, recently bringing the self-driving vehicle to its Giga New York facility.
Social media images reveal the Cybercab on-site, with employees observing the vehicle but not allowed to enter it, similar to previous European displays.
The Cybercab at Giga New York bears the number “18” plate, indicating it was likely one of the vehicles used during Tesla’s recent “We, Robot” event. It features updated wheel covers that extend further into the tire.
Giga New York, an acquired facility spanning 1.2 million square feet on 88 acres, differs from purpose-built factories like Giga Texas (10 million square feet on 2,500 acres).
Despite its smaller size, the factory remains crucial to Tesla’s operations, producing Solar Roof tiles, solar panels, Supercharger electrical components, and prefabricated Supercharger units.
The vehicle’s presence at the facility appears to have generated significant interest, with workers reportedly taking photographs of the Cybercab.
