Tesla has expanded its Supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology to Cybertruck owners in Canada through the latest software update v12.5.5.3. The feature’s rollout comes several months after its initial introduction to U.S. Cybertruck owners in September.
Canadian Cybertruck owner Dare W shared details of the update on X this weekend, posting both screenshots of the release notes and videos demonstrating the system’s first drives in Canadian conditions.
FSD (Supervised) updated drive on in the daylight – time for more coffee. It’s a very basic route (need to get a camera setup for the more complex routes) but v12.5.5.3 is very good https://t.co/jg3VOZX9jW pic.twitter.com/3XmugYNPfI

The FSD rollout follows Tesla’s recent entry into the Canadian market, with the first Cybertruck deliveries occurring just this month.
Canadian customers can now schedule demo drives at Tesla locations nationwide. The expansion was made possible in part by a crucial regulatory exemption granted in July, which allowed Tesla’s innovative steer-by-wire system to operate legally in Canada.
Notably, when Tesla first launched the Cybertruck in the United States last November, the vehicle initially lacked FSD capability. CEO Elon Musk had previously indicated that implementing FSD for the Cybertruck was considered a lower priority compared to other Tesla models, explaining the delayed rollout of this feature.
To complement their Canadian expansion, Tesla is now offering test drive opportunities across the country for potential customers interested in experiencing the Cybertruck firsthand.
