Tesla 2025.38 software update adds 3D buildings view

You can now see buildings and city details in the map. Tap the 3D icon in Map View to switch it on. Premium Connectivity is required for this.

3D Buildings

The new feature works on AI3/HW3 and AI4/HW4 Tesla vehicles, but limited to AMD Ryzen (not supported on Intel Atom).

The update is now rolling out to the first batch of cars. This is still a small percentage. Drivers in Norway and Switzerland have already reported getting it.

3D buildings give a more realistic look when driving in cities. The experience becomes clearer and easier to follow. It is useful for anyone who likes knowing what is around beyond just streets and traffic.

Other changes

The update also brings other changes. Dashcam events now include street names if available. Dashcam streaming and downloads offer higher resolution, but you need Tesla App version 4.49.5 or newer. Your left scroll wheel now controls Bioweapon Defense Mode, Mute Navigation, and Music Light Sync, depending on your car. Security fixes and improvements are included too.

Tesla is continuing to test hardware compatibility. New features keep coming, but support depends on your car’s hardware.

The 2025.38 update is part of Tesla’s regular push to improve maps and driving experience. You can check on your touchscreen or in the app if the update is ready for your car.
