Anti-Musk Protester Attacks Wrong Car, Smashes Polestar in Bristol

A man in his 40s tried to protest against Elon Musk by attacking what he thought was a Tesla. He got it wrong. Instead of smashing a Tesla, he damaged a Polestar, an electric car made by Volvo’s performance brand.

The Attack

Videos show the man using a “big pole” to smash the Polestar. He broke several windows and dented body panels. Witnesses said he carried a homemade sign criticizing Musk and Tesla.

One witness told the Daily Mail that the man was waving his sign before the attack.

Police arrest and release protester

Avon and Somerset Police arrested the man for criminal damage, arson, and carrying an offensive weapon. But they later released him while investigations continue.

A local resident first thought the noise was fireworks.

“I thought, it must be some kind of protest,”

the local said.

“I was shocked. When you’re trying to go to sleep on a Monday evening, the last thing you expect to hear is a bloke smashing up a car.”

He added.

Protest sign’s strange message

The protester’s sign had an odd message. It read:

“Eleon Musk you have to pay for all that demolition and seven a trillion dollars for foundation Wielka Orkiestra Witecznej Pomocy.”

The message mentions a Polish charity, The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, though it’s unclear why.
