Tesla’s Giga Texas Cybertunnel Nears Completion with Interior Painting

The Boring Company’s tunnel project at Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas is approaching completion, with crews now applying paint to the underground passage’s interior walls.

The tunnel, dubbed “Cybertunnel,” runs beneath Highway 130 at Tesla’s Austin facility and will serve a crucial role in the company’s logistics operations.

According to Elon Musk, the passage will be used to transport Cybertrucks from the main factory to the outbound lot, where they’ll be loaded onto hauling trucks for distribution.

Construction of the tunnel began in March, and recent drone footage captured by Brad Sloan reveals significant progress.

Beyond the Giga Texas project, The Boring Company continues to expand its operations:

The company’s most ambitious project remains in Las Vegas, where the initial Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) loop is being expanded into a citywide network.

Upon completion, the Vegas system will feature an impressive 81 stations throughout the city.
